There are no great secrets to writing nice letters to these women featured at "Ladies of the Pen".  They are women that want to meet men.  Pretty simple!!

Make your letters interesting, especially in the beginning.  Ask allot of questions?  These women find it easier to answer questions.

Enclose photographs. This is will add a tremendous amount of interest to your letter.  The yard as the flowers begin to bloom, or the snow when it is piling up next to the driveway.  Or a sunset on the beach.  Take pictures of  Flowers (none of them can receive the actual flowers, a picture is the next best thing.)  Remember that these women have no contact with the outside world, so anything you can do to make them feel less isolated will be truly appreciated.

Treat them with respect at all times.  Go ahead and ask them why they were incarcerated, but wait until the second or third letter.  The women listed on these pages are women just like all women in society.  They should always be honored, and viewed as Ladies who are trying to cope with their current situation in the best way possible.  Praise and flatter them when whenever you can.

These women can become very passionate when they write!  As one can probably imagine, because of their confinement and separation from physical contact with men, the women will want to write from time to time, very sexual letters, and may want the same from you.  Handle this on an individual basis, if someone seems to want to hear passionate or sexual letters, write what you feel comfortable writing.  They will let you know how they feel.

They will write to you as though you were their Man.   So when you write them for the first time, they may feel as though you are their man, and as time goes on, you may become more and more of "their man".  You probably will be the only man in their life, and both of you may want to continue the relationship once the person you are writing to is released.  Many, if not most of these women are earnestly looking for someone very special in their lives.  When you write to them you will probably find that you have become an important part of their lives.

These women do make excellent girl friends, lovers, and wives.   If you are really interested in the person you are writing, then send several letters a week, and cards on special occasions. You will, at the very least, form a very strong bond with the person you are writing, and you will probably have someone that will never forget your kindness at a point in time when they needed it the most.  If you are really serious about the person that you are writing,  all facilities  allow visits, but there is always an pre approval process that your correspondent will tell you about.  Some institutions allow edits to the "Visitor's List" one a quarterly or even 6 month basis.  It's important that you know when your lady can put you on her visit list.
