If you know someone who is presently incarcerated or has recently been released and would like to receive mail from nice gentlemen and gentlewomen, please send their full name, address, and Department of Corrections number.  We will mail them an application. "Ladies of the Pen" is always FREE to Women.  The purpose of this web site is to help these women who are presently in a difficult situation. Often these women receive very little, if any, mail.  In most cases these women love to hear from people on the outside.  Receiving a nice letter can be the highlight of their day, or their week.  Women recently released also need a strong support system and receiving mail from those who care can help them maintain their positive outlook, and brighten their days.
